⁴⁹ The Lord will bring a nation from far away, from the ends of the earth,^(A) to swoop down on you like an eagle,^(B) a nation whose language you won’t understand,^(C)

²² Look! It will be like an eagle soaring upwards, then swooping down and spreading its wings over Bozrah. In that day the hearts of Edom’s warriors will be like the heart of a woman with contractions.^(A)
