⁶ Carefully follow them, for this will show your wisdom and understanding in the eyes of the peoples. When they hear about all these statutes, they will say, “This great nation is indeed a wise and understanding people.”

²⁶ By contrast, the boy Samuel grew in stature and in favour with the Lord and with people.^(A)

⁵² And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and with people.^(A)

¹⁸ Whoever serves Christ^(A) in this way is acceptable to God and receives human approval.^(B)
