⁴ ‘Listen, Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.^[a](A)

²⁴ This is so that all the peoples of the earth may know^(A) that the Lord’s hand is strong,^(B) and so that you may always fear the Lord your God.’^(C)

³² Then the scribe said to him, ‘You are right, teacher. You have correctly said that he is one, and there is no one^(A) else except him.^(B)
