2 and when the Lord your God delivers them over to you and you defeat them, you must completely destroy(A) them. Make no treaty with them and show them no mercy.(B) 3 You must not intermarry with them, and you must not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons,(C) 4 because they will turn your sons away from me to worship other gods.(D) Then the Lord’s anger will burn against you,(E) and he will swiftly destroy you.

2 när HERREN, din Gud, giver dessa i ditt våld och du slår dem, då skall du giva dem till spillo; du skall icke sluta förbund med dem eller visa dem nåd.
3 Du skall icke befrynda dig med dem; dina döttrar skall du icke giva åt deras söner, och deras döttrar skall du icke taga till hustrur åt dina söner.
4 Ty de skola då förleda dina söner att vika av ifrån mig och tjäna andra gudar, och HERRENS vrede skall då upptändas mot eder och han skall med hast förgöra dig.
