⁶ For you are a holy people^(A) belonging to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be his own possession^(B) out of all the peoples on the face of the earth.

¹⁸ And today the Lord has affirmed that you are his own possession as he promised you, that you are to keep all his commands,

¹⁴ He gave himself for us^(A) to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people for his own possession,^(B) eager to do good works.
