⁷¹ It is ^(A)good for me that I was afflicted,
So that I may learn Your statutes.

^11 (A)My son, do not reject the ^[a]discipline of the Lord
Or loathe His rebuke,

¹² For ^(A)whom the Lord loves He disciplines,
Just ^(B)as a father disciplines the son in whom he delights.

“^(A)My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord,
Nor ^(B)faint when you are punished by Him;

^6 (A)For ^(B)whom the Lord loves He disciplines,
And He punishes every son whom He accepts.”
