⁴ For he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in love before him.^[a](A)

²⁷ He did this to present the church to himself in splendour, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but holy and blameless.^(A)

¹⁵ so that you may be blameless^(A) and pure,^(B) children of God who are faultless^(C) in a crooked^(D) and perverted^(E) generation,^(F) among whom you shine like stars in the world,

²² But now he has reconciled you by his physical body through his death,^(A) to present you holy, faultless,^(B) and blameless before him^(C) –
