¹⁴ Stand,^(A) therefore, with truth^(B) like a belt round your waist, righteousness^(C) like armour on your chest,^(D)

¹⁷ Take the helmet^(A) of salvation and the sword^(B) of the Spirit^(C) – which is the word of God.

⁸ But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled^(A) and put on the armour^(B) of faith and love, and a helmet^(C) of the hope of salvation.
