²⁰Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the other women came out after her playing their tambourines and dancing. ²¹Miriam led them in the refrain:

“Sing to the Lord for he is wondrously triumphant;
horse and horsemen he has cast into the sea.”
