³¹ ‘Be my holy people. You must not eat the meat of a mauled animal^(A) found in the field; throw it to the dogs.

²⁴ The fat of an animal that dies naturally or is mauled by wild beasts^[a](A) may be used for any other purpose, but you must not eat it.^(B)

¹⁵ ‘Every person, whether the native or the resident foreigner,^(A) who eats an animal that died a natural death or was mauled by wild beasts^(B) is to wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will remain unclean until evening; then he will be clean.

³¹ The priests may not eat any bird or animal that died naturally or was mauled by wild beasts.^(A)
