⁶ ‘You must not deny justice to a poor person among you in his lawsuit.

¹⁹ Do not deny justice or show partiality to anyone. Do not accept a bribe, for it blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.^(A)

¹⁷ Do not deny justice to a resident foreigner or fatherless child, and do not take a widow’s garment as security.

⁵ ‘I will come to you in judgement, and I will be ready to witness against sorcerers and adulterers; against those who swear falsely; against those who oppress the hired worker, the widow, and the fatherless; and against those who deny justice to the resident foreigner.^(A) They do not fear me,’^(B) says the Lord of Armies.
