¹² The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and stay there so that I may give you the stone tablets^(A) with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.”

The Two Stone Tablets

¹⁸ When he finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the testimony, stone tablets inscribed by the finger of God.^(A)

¹¹ The Lord gave me the two stone tablets, the tablets of the covenant, at the end of the forty days and forty nights.

¹⁵ “So I went back down the mountain, while it was blazing with fire, and the two tablets of the covenant were in my hands.

⁴ It had the gold altar of incense and the ark of the covenant, covered with gold on all sides, in which was a gold jar containing the manna, Aaron’s staff that budded, and the tablets of the covenant.^(A)
