³⁸ It shall be on Aaron’s forehead, and Aaron shall ^[a](A)take away the guilt of the holy things which the sons of Israel consecrate, regarding all their holy gifts; and it shall always be on his forehead, so that ^(B)they may be accepted before the Lord.

¹⁶ and thereby ^(A)bring upon them ^[a]punishment for guilt by eating their holy gifts; for I am the Lord who sanctifies them.’”

Duties of Levites

18 So the Lord said to Aaron, “You, your sons, and your father’s household with you shall ^(A)bear the guilt ^[a]in connection with the sanctuary, and you and your sons with you shall bear the guilt ^[b]in connection with your priesthood.
