²⁵ ‘Do not present^[a] the blood for my sacrifice with anything leavened. The sacrifice of the Passover Festival must not remain until morning.^(A)

¹¹ Such people are to observe it in the second month, on the fourteenth day at twilight. They are to eat the animal with unleavened bread and bitter herbs;^(A)

³ Do not eat leavened bread with it.^(A) For seven days you are to eat unleavened bread with it, the bread of hardship – because you left the land of Egypt in a hurry^(B) – so that you may remember for the rest of your life the day you left the land of Egypt.

⁸ Therefore, let us observe the feast, not with old leaven or with the leaven of malice and evil,^(A) but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
