²⁴ Your people built up mounds for themselves in every market. They put little places of worship on them. ²⁵ They set them up at every street corner. Jerusalem, you misused your beauty. You offered your body to anyone who passed by. You did it again and again. ²⁶ You committed shameful acts with the people of Egypt. They were your neighbors who were ready to have sex with you. You offered yourself to them again and again. That made me very angry.
