²³ Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? ’^(A) This is the declaration of the Lord God. ‘Instead, don’t I take pleasure when he turns from his ways and lives?

³² For I take no pleasure in anyone’s death.’ This is the declaration of the Lord God. ‘So repent and live!

¹⁷ For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn^(A) the world, but to save the world through him.

¹⁰ For this reason we labour and strive,^[a] because we have put our hope in the living God,^(A) who is the Saviour^(B) of all people,^(C) especially of those who believe.

¹¹ For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation^[a] for all people,^(A)

⁹ The Lord does not delay his promise,^(A) as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any^(B) to perish^(C) but all to come to repentance.^(D)
