¹³ But the house of Israel ^(A)rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My statutes and they rejected My ordinances, ^(B)which, if ^[a]a person ^[b]follows them, then he will live by them; and they greatly profaned My ^(C)Sabbaths. Then I ^[c]resolved to ^(D)pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to annihilate them.

²¹ But the ^(A)children rebelled against Me; they did not walk in My statutes, nor were they careful to ^[a]follow My ordinances which, if ^[b]a person ^[c]follows them, then he will live by them; they profaned My Sabbaths. So I ^[d]resolved to pour out My wrath on them, to ^[e]use up My anger against them in the wilderness.

²⁴ because they had not ^[a]complied with My ordinances, but had rejected My statutes and had profaned My Sabbaths, and ^(A)their eyes were ^[b]on the idols of their fathers.

³⁸ Again, they have done this to Me: they have ^(A)defiled My sanctuary on the same day, and have ^(B)profaned My Sabbaths.

³⁹ For when they slaughtered their children for their idols, they entered My ^(A)sanctuary on the same day to profane it; and behold, this is what they did within My house.
