The Altar

13 ‘These are the measurements of the altar(A) in units of length (each unit being the standard length plus eight centimetres):[a](B) The gutter is 53 centimetres[b] deep and 53 centimetres wide, with a rim of 27 centimetres[c] round its edge. This is the base[d] of the altar. 14 The distance from the gutter on the ground to the lower ledge is 1.1 metres,[e] and the width of the ledge is 53 centimetres. There are 2.1 metres[f] from the small ledge to the large ledge, whose width is also 53 centimetres. 15 The altar hearth[g] is 2.1 metres high, and four horns(C) project upwards from the hearth.
