⁹ Then your survivors will remember me among the nations where they are taken captive,^(A) how I was crushed by their promiscuous hearts that turned away from me and by their eyes that lusted after their idols.^(B) They will loathe themselves because of the evil things they did,^(C) their detestable actions of every kind.

⁶¹ Then you will remember your ways^(A) and be ashamed when you^[a] receive your elder and younger sisters. I will give them to you as daughters, but not because of your covenant.

⁶³ so that when I make atonement for all you have done, you will remember and be ashamed,^(A) and never open your mouth again because of your disgrace.^(B) This is the declaration of the Lord God.” ’
