¹⁴ And ^(A)the elders of the Jews ^[a]were successful in building through the prophecy of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And ^[b]they finished building following the command of the God of Israel and the decree ^(B)of Cyrus, ^(C)Darius, and ^(D)Artaxerxes king of Persia.

¹⁵ Now this ^[a]temple was completed ^[b]on the third day of the ^(A)month Adar; it was the sixth year of the reign of King Darius.

¹² Then say to him, ‘The Lord of armies says this: “Behold, there is a Man whose name is ^[a](A)Branch, for He will ^[b](B)branch out from where He is; and He will ^(C)build the temple of the Lord.

¹³ Yes, it is He who will build the temple of the Lord, and He who will ^(A)bear the majesty and sit and ^(B)rule on His throne. So He will be a ^(C)priest on His throne, and the counsel of peace will be between the two ^[a]offices.”’
