10 Und es ging aus von Eden ein Strom, zu wässern den Garten, und er teilte sich von da in vier Hauptwasser.
11 Das erste heißt Pison, das fließt um das ganze Land Hevila; und daselbst findet man Gold.
12 Und das Gold des Landes ist köstlich; und da findet man Bedellion und den Edelstein Onyx.
13 Das andere Wasser heißt Gihon, das fließt um um das ganze Mohrenland.
14 Das dritte Wasser heißt Hiddekel, das fließt vor Assyrien. Das vierte Wasser ist der Euphrat.

10 A river(A) watering the garden flowed from Eden;(B) from there it was separated into four headwaters. 11 The name of the first is the Pishon; it winds through the entire land of Havilah,(C) where there is gold. 12 (The gold of that land is good; aromatic resin[a](D) and onyx are also there.) 13 The name of the second river is the Gihon; it winds through the entire land of Cush.[b] 14 The name of the third river is the Tigris;(E) it runs along the east side of Ashur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.(F)

10 Från Eden gick en flod ut som vattnade lustgården och som sedan delade sig i fyra huvudgrenar. 11 Den första heter Pison. Det är den som flyter runt hela landet Havila, där det finns guld. 12 Guldet i det landet är gott och där finns också bdelliumharts och onyxsten. 13 Den andra floden heter Gihon. Det är den som flyter runt hela landet Kush. 14 Den tredje floden heter Hiddekel. Det är den som flyter öster om Assur. Den fjärde floden är Eufrat.
