¹⁰ His kingdom started with Babylon,^(A) Erech,^[a] Accad,^[b] and Calneh,^[c] in the land of Shinar.^[d](B)

² As people migrated from the east,^[a] they found a valley in the land of Shinar and settled there.^(A)

¹¹ On that day^(A) the Lord will extend his hand a second time to recover the remnant of his people who survive – from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and the coasts and islands of the west.^(B)

¹¹ ‘To build a shrine for it in the land of Shinar,’^(A) he told me. ‘When that is ready, the basket will be placed there on its pedestal.’
