³¹ Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot (Haran’s son), and his daughter-in-law Sarai, his son Abram’s wife, and they set out together from Ur of the Chaldeans^(A) to go to the land of Canaan. But when they came to Haran, they settled there.

⁷ He also said to him, ‘I am the Lord who brought you from Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to possess.’^(A)

22 ¹ ‘Brothers and fathers, listen now to my defence before you.’

⁸ None of the rulers of this age knew this wisdom, because if they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.^(A)
