⁷ The Lord appeared to Abram and said, ‘To your offspring^[a](A) I will give this land.’ So he built an altar there to the Lord who had appeared to him.

¹⁵ for I will give you and your offspring^[a] for ever all the land that you see.^(A)

⁷ He also said to him, ‘I am the Lord who brought you from Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to possess.’^(A)

¹⁸ On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, ‘I give this land to your offspring,^(A) from the Brook of Egypt^(B) to the great river, the River Euphrates:

⁴ I will make your offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky, I will give your offspring all these lands, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed^[a] by your offspring,^(A)

¹¹ God also said to him, ‘I am God Almighty.^(A) Be fruitful and multiply.^(B) A nation, indeed an assembly of nations, will come from you,^(C) and kings will descend from you.^{[a](D) 12} I will give to you the land that I gave to Abraham and Isaac.^(E) And I will give the land to your future descendants.’
