⁷ The Lord appeared to Abram and said, ‘To your offspring^[a](A) I will give this land.’ So he built an altar there to the Lord who had appeared to him.

¹⁵ for I will give you and your offspring^[a] for ever all the land that you see.^(A)

³ stay in this land as a foreigner, and I will be with you and bless you.^(A) For I will give all these lands to you and your offspring,^(B) and I will confirm the oath that I swore to your father Abraham.^{(C) 4} I will make your offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky, I will give your offspring all these lands, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed^[a] by your offspring,^(D)

¹³ The Lord was standing there beside him,^[a] saying, ‘I am the Lord,^(A) the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your offspring the land on which you are lying.

¹³ Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Israel – you swore to them by yourself^(A) and declared, “I will make your offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky and will give your offspring all this land that I have promised, and they will inherit it for ever.” ’^(B)
