⁷ I will confirm my covenant that is between me and you and your future offspring throughout their generations. It is a permanent covenant^(A) to be your God and the God of your offspring after you.^{(B) 8} And to you and your future offspring^[a](C) I will give the land where you are residing – all the land of Canaan – as a permanent possession,^(D) and I will be their God.’

¹² ‘Lord, God of my master Abraham,’ he prayed, ‘make this happen for me today,^(A) and show kindness to my master Abraham.

⁶ Then he continued, ‘I am the God of your father,^[a] the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’^(A) Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.

³² I am the God of your ancestors – the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob.^[a](A) Moses began to tremble and did not dare to look.
