¹⁷ I will indeed bless you^(A) and make your offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky^(B) and the sand on the seashore.^(C) Your offspring will possess the city gates of their^[a] enemies.^(D)

²² Even as the stars of heaven cannot be counted, and the sand of the sea cannot be measured,^(A) so too I will make innumerable the descendants of my servant David and the Levites who minister to me.’
