²⁷When the boys grew up, Esau became an expert hunter, an outdoorsman,^[a] but Jacob was a quiet man who stayed at home.^[b] ²⁸Isaac loved Esau because he had a taste for wild game, but Rebekah loved Jacob.^(A)
