⁵ because Abraham listened to me and kept my mandate, my commands, my statutes, and my instructions.’^(A)

¹⁴ ‘This day is to be a memorial for you, and you must celebrate it as a festival to the Lord. You are to celebrate it throughout your generations as a permanent statute.^(A)

¹⁷ This is a permanent statute^(A) throughout your generations, wherever you live: you must not eat any fat or any blood.’^(B)

³ You must observe it at its appointed time on the fourteenth day of this month at twilight; you are to observe it according to all its statutes and ordinances.’^(A)

² Do this so that you may fear^(A) the Lord your God^(B) all the days of your life^(C) by keeping all his statutes and commands I am giving you, your son, and your grandson, and so that you may have a long life.^(D)

¹¹ ‘Be careful that you don’t forget the Lord your God by failing to keep his commands, ordinances, and statutes that I am giving you today.
