The Stolen Blessing

27 When Isaac was old and his eyes were so weak that he could not see,^(A) he called his elder son Esau and said to him, ‘My son.’

And he answered, ‘Here I am.’

¹⁰ Now his eyesight was poor because of old age; he could hardly^[a] see.^(A) Joseph brought them to him, and he kissed and embraced them.^(B)

² One day Eli, whose eyesight was failing,^(A) was lying in his usual place.
