¹⁰ But Jacob said, ‘No, please! If I have found favour with you, take this gift from me. For indeed, I have seen your face, and it is like seeing God’s face, since you have accepted me.

¹⁰ and they saw^(A) the God of Israel. Beneath his feet was something like a pavement made of lapis lazuli, as clear as the sky itself.^(B)
