¹⁶ He went over to her and said, ‘Come, let me sleep with you,’ for he did not know that she was his daughter-in-law.^(A)

She said, ‘What will you give me for sleeping with me? ’

¹² If a man sleeps with his daughter-in-law,^(A) both of them must be put to death. They have acted perversely; their death is their own fault.

¹¹ One man within you commits a detestable act with his neighbour’s wife;^(A) another defiles his daughter-in-law with depravity; and yet another violates his sister, his father’s daughter.^(B)
