¹³ For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a young cow sprinkled on those who are defiled sanctify them for the ritual purity of the flesh,

⁹ A clean man will gather the ashes of the heifer, and he will put them in a clean place outside the camp;^[a] it will be for the community of the Israelites^[b] as a requirement for waters of impurity; it is a purification offering.
