¹⁴I will ransom them from the power of Sheol.
I will redeem^[a] them from death.^(A)
Death, where are your barbs?
Sheol, where is your sting?^(B)
Compassion is hidden from my eyes.^(C)

The Coming Judgement

¹⁵Although he flourishes among his brothers,^[b]^(D)
an east wind will come,^(E)
a wind from the Lord rising up from the desert.
His water source will fail,
and his spring will run dry.^(F)
The wind^[c] will plunder the treasury^(G)
of every precious item.

¹⁶Samaria^(H) will bear her guilt^(I)
because she has rebelled against her God.^(J)
They will fall by the sword;^(K)
their children will be dashed to pieces,^(L)
and their pregnant women ripped open.^(M)
