Hosea 5:5-7

⁵ Israel’s arrogance testifies against them.^[a],^(A)
Both Israel and Ephraim stumble
because of their iniquity;^(B)
even Judah will stumble with them.^(C)
6 They go with their flocks and herds
to seek the Lord^(D)
but do not find him;^(E)
he has withdrawn from them.^(F)
7 They betrayed the Lord;^(G)
indeed, they gave birth to illegitimate children.^(H)
Now the New Moon^(I) will devour them
along with their fields.^(J)
