Hosea 8:5-7

⁵Your calf-idol^[a],^(A) is rejected, Samaria.^(B)
My anger burns against them.
How long will they be incapable of innocence?^(C)
⁶For this thing is from Israel –
a craftsman made it,^(D) and it is not God.
The calf of Samaria will be smashed to bits!

⁷Indeed, they sow the wind^(E)
and reap the whirlwind.^(F)
There is no standing corn;
what sprouts fails to yield flour.^(G)
Even if it did,
foreigners would swallow it up.
