Isaiah 5:2
New English Translation

2 He built a hedge around it,[a] removed its stones,
and planted a vine.
He built a tower in the middle of it,
and constructed a winepress.
He waited for it to produce edible grapes,
but it produced sour ones instead.[b]

He built a watchtower(B) in it
    and cut out a winepress(C) as well.
Then he looked for a crop of good grapes,
    but it yielded only bad fruit.(D)
