Isaiah 1:3-5

New International Version

⁴ Woe to the sinful nation,
    a people whose guilt is great,^(E)
a brood of evildoers,^(F)
    children given to corruption!^(G)
They have forsaken^(H) the Lord;
    they have spurned the Holy One^(I) of Israel
    and turned their backs^(J) on him.

⁵ Why should you be beaten^(K) anymore?
    Why do you persist^(L) in rebellion?^(M)
Your whole head is injured,
    your whole heart^(N) afflicted.^(O)
