is filled with celebration.
Your dead did not die by the sword;

⁷ Is this your jubilant city,
whose origin was in ancient times,
whose feet have taken her
to reside far away?

⁸ The joyful tambourines^(A) have ceased.
The noise of the jubilant has stopped.
The joyful lyre has ceased.

¹³ for the ground of my people
growing thorns and briars,^(A)
indeed, for every joyous house in the jubilant city.

¹¹ On that day you^[a] will not be put to shame^(A)
because of everything you have done
in rebelling^(B) against me.
For then I will remove
from among you your jubilant,^(C) arrogant people,
and you will never again be haughty
on my holy mountain.^(D)
