Isaiah 33:8-10

⁸ The highways are deserted;
travel has ceased.
An agreement has been broken,^(A)
cities^[a] despised,
and human life disregarded.
⁹ The land mourns and withers;^(B)
Lebanon is ashamed and wilted.
Sharon is like a desert;
Bashan and Carmel shake off their leaves.
¹⁰ “Now I will rise up,”^(C) says the Lord.
“Now I will lift myself up.
Now I will be exalted.
