⁷ for your iniquities and the iniquities^(A)
of your^[a] ancestors together,’
says the Lord.
‘Because they burned incense on the mountains
and reproached me on the hills,^(B)
I will reward them fully^[b]
for their former deeds.’

¹⁵ Yet my people have forgotten me.^(A)
They burn incense to worthless idols
that make them stumble in their ways^(B)
on the ancient roads,^(C)
and make them walk on new paths, not the raised road.
