1 This letter is from me, James. I am a servant of God and the Lord Jesus Christ.[a]

2 My Christian friends, remember to be happy, even when many kinds of trouble happen to you. Troubles can help you.

  2. 1:1 This may mean all believers, wherever they live. There were 12 tribes of Israel in the Old Testament. They were God's people. Now all Christians are God's people.
