¹³ Again the word of the Lord came to me asking, ‘What do you see? ’

And I replied, ‘I see a boiling pot,^(A) its lip tilted from the north to the south.’

¹⁴ Then the Lord said to me, ‘Disaster will be poured out^[a] from the north^(B) on all who live in the land.

³ They are saying, “Isn’t the time near to build houses?^[a](A) The city is the pot,^(B) and we are the meat.”

⁷ ‘ “Therefore, this is what the Lord God says: The slain you have put within it are the meat,^(A) and the city is the pot, but I^[a] will take you out of it.^(B)

¹¹ The city will not be a pot for you,^(A) and you will not be the meat within it. I will judge you at the border of Israel,
