Jeremiah 10:8-10

⁸ They are both stupid and foolish,
instructed by worthless idols
made of wood!
⁹ Beaten silver is brought from Tarshish^(A)
and gold from Uphaz.^[a](B)
The work of a craftsman
and of a goldsmith’s hands
is clothed in blue and purple,
all the work of skilled craftsmen.
¹⁰ But the Lord is the true God;^(C)
he is the living God^(D) and eternal King.^(E)
The earth quakes at his wrath,^(F)
and the nations cannot endure his fury.
