⁴ which I commanded your ancestors when I brought them out of the land of Egypt,^(A) out of the iron furnace.’^(B) I declared, ‘Obey me, and do everything that I command you, and you will be my people, and I will be your God,’^(C)

⁷ I will give them a heart to know me,^(A) that I am the Lord. They will be my people, and I will be their God because they will return to me with all their heart.^(B)

²⁰ so that they will follow my statutes,^(A) keep my ordinances, and practise them. They will be my people, and I will be their God.^(B)

¹¹ in order that the house of Israel may no longer stray from following me and no longer defile themselves^(A) with all their transgressions. Then they will be my people and I will be their God.^(B) This is the declaration of the Lord God.” ’

²⁸ You will live in the land that I gave your ancestors;^(A) you will be my people, and I will be your God.^(B)

²³ They will not defile themselves any more with their idols,^(A) their abhorrent things, and all their transgressions.^(B) I will save them from all their apostasies by which^[a] they sinned,^(C) and I will cleanse them. Then they will be my people, and I will be their God.^(D)
