² Now at that time the army of the king of Babylon was besieging Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was imprisoned in the ^(A)courtyard of the guard, which was at the house of the king of Judah,

¹³ So they pulled Jeremiah out with the ropes and lifted him out of the cistern, and Jeremiah stayed in the ^(A)courtyard of the guardhouse.

²⁸ So Jeremiah ^(A)stayed in the courtyard of the guard until the day that Jerusalem was captured.
