⁶ Therefore ^(A)a lion from the forest shall slay them,
^(B)A wolf of the deserts shall destroy them;
^(C)A leopard will watch over their cities.
Everyone who goes out from there shall be torn in pieces,
Because their transgressions are many;
Their backslidings have increased.

⁸ Their horses also are ^(A)swifter than leopards,
And more fierce than evening wolves.
Their ^[a]chargers ^[b]charge ahead;
Their cavalry comes from afar;
They fly as the ^(B)eagle that hastens to eat.
