God's Judgment on Babylonia

²¹ The Lord says, “Attack the people of Merathaim and of Pekod. Kill and destroy them.^[a] Do everything I command you. I, the Lord, have spoken. ²² The noise of battle is heard in the land, and there is great destruction. ²³ Babylonia hammered the whole world to pieces, and now that hammer is shattered! All the nations are shocked at what has happened to that country.
