¹² While it is still green and not cut down,
Yet it withers before any other ^[a]plant.

¹³ So are the paths of ^(A)all who forget God;
And the ^(B)hope of the godless will perish,

³⁵ I have ^(A)seen a wicked, violent person
Spreading himself like a ^(B)luxuriant ^[a]tree in its native soil.

³⁶ Then he passed away, and behold, he ^(A)was no more;
I searched for him, but he could not be found.
