Job 9:23-25

²³When catastrophe^[a] brings sudden death,
he mocks the despair of the innocent.
²⁴The earth^[b] is handed over to the wicked;
he blindfolds^[c] its judges.^(A)
If it isn’t he, then who is it?

²⁵My days fly by faster than a runner;^[d]^(B)
they flee without seeing any good.^(C)
